The four Takao-class cruisers built between 1927 and 1928 were modeled on the Myoko-class cruisers. They received better armor and equipment, including on adapting the main artillery to conduct anti-aircraft fire. The cruisers were distinguished by a massive bridge structure and a vertical funnel that was not tilted like the first one, but was placed vertically. Only Takao survived the war and was scrapped in 1946. The new development of the 3D series uses the many years of achievements of Janusz Skulski, considered the greatest specialist in Japanese ships of the Second World War. Waldemar Góralski's 3D renderings take into account most of the corrections made by Janusz Skulski and present the ship in the camouflage she received at the end of WWII.
